Flt Lt Kilkenny has been with Ashton Squadron since 2001. Starting out as a member of the Civilian Committee, he decided to join the instructing staff as a Civilian Instructor. After getting a taste for the job, he opted to go into uniform as an Adult Warrant Officer (ATC), then gaining his commission in the RAFVR(T) in 2004. Taking Commanding at the end of September 2006, Flt Lt Kilkenny is keen to uphold the excellent traditions of 247 Squadron. Flt
Lt Kilkenny is ultimately responsible for all the cadets, their
training, and the staff under his command.

Mike Dawson
RAFVR(T)
Fg Off Dawson has been involved with 247 Squadron since May 1993 when he joined as a cadet. Gaining his commission in October 2001 Fg Off Dawson has gone on to hold the posts of Adjutant, Supply Officer and Training Officer. Most recently Fg Off Dawson was the Commanding Officer from December 2004 until September 2006.

Dave Cooper

AWO Cooper has been in the ATC since 1981 where he joined as a cadet. After joining the uniformed staff ranks in 1991 AWO Cooper has served on a number of Squadrons in East Lancashire Wing before moving to 247 Sqn in 1997. In 2002 AWO Cooper was awarded the Queens Golden Jubilee Medal, and the Cadet Forces Medal in 2003. AWO Cooper is a qualified Mountain Leader and First Aider. AWO Cooper is responsible for drill and discipline on the Squadron, as well as various training subjects.

Keiron Corbett
ATC
Sergeant Corbett joined the Squadron in 2005 as a Civilian Instructor after hearing about the recruitment campaign. He was appointed to Adult Sergeant and is learning the finer points of drill and discipline. Sergeant Corbett currently operates the stores and supply chain to the Squadron.

Ian Wilson

Sergeant Wilson joined Ashton Squadron in 2005 as a Civilian Instructor and shortly after passed his interviews for Adult Sergeant. Sergeant Wilson is our Adjutant and is reponsible for all correspondance and record keeping.
